BERLIN -- Sandusky Perkins post Cierra Bravard once again proved to be larger than life at the Classic in the Country V, finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Pirates, ranked No. 3 in Div. II. Her efforts helped her team to a 50-46 win over Shaker Heights.

"She was so strong and big that she was just hard to guard," said Karisma Penn, Shaker Heights' top post. "Even if she misses shots she's throwing her body on you to get the ball."

Bravard and the Pirates went on a 27-7 run in the first half and held off a strong fourth quarter from the Raiders.

Penn put together a 12-point, seven-rebound game for the 11-7 Raiders, who have played a plethora of Cleveland's top teams.

Lima Bath 63, Salem 48

Two of Ohio's top familial combinations squared off in this one.

The Wildkittens (No. 2, Div. II) lived up to their ranking, closing the game with a 16-7 fourth quarter to put away fellow Div. II Salem.

Bath got 22 points from junior Stefanie Mauk, who also had nine rebounds. Sophomore sister Rachel wasn't far behind, putting together a 20-point, six-rebound effort.

Sophomore Amy Scullion led Salem with 20 points and eight boards. Older sister Katie tallied 14 and seven boards, while Kelly Roelen added 11 points.

Day. Chaminade-Julienne 59, Bishop McGuinness (N.C.) 53, OT

The Eagles (No. 3, Div. I) won likely the most exciting game of the tournament by knocking off North Carolina's No. 1-ranked team in overtime.

Chaminade-Julienne appeared a lock for a victory after getting a 3-pointer from Rachel Chandler with 6.5 seconds on the clock to make it 51-48. But the Villains' Brittany Cox evened things up with a trey as time expired.

Samarie Walker had one of the biggest games of the tournament, going for 26 points and 16 boards for the winners. Tiera Stephen had 15 points for the Eagles.

The Villains got 21 points and 12 rebounds from 6-foot-3 Erinn Thompson, while Cox scored 12 for the two-time defending North Carolina champions.

Lexington (Ky.) Catholic 49, Youngstown Boardman 41

The team from Kentucky, ranked No. 9 in the latest USA Today Power 25 poll, didn't go away from the Classic empty-handed.

After a Sunday loss, the Knights rebounded nicely to win, outscoring Boardman 27-19 in the second half. They also rebounded nicely as a team, winning the battle of the boards 41-27.

Notre Dame-bound senior Natalie Novosel exploded for 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Knights.

Boardman's Courtney Schiffauer had an 18-point, eight-rebound game for her team, which lost despite forcing the Knights to shoot an icy 26 percent from the floor.
